My work explores the intimate relationship between individuals and their environment. My artistic production delves into the elements that surround us and how we shape ourselves to conform to the standards imposed by contemporary society. Through my work, I invite the public to reflect on the acts and rituals that have become ingrained in our lifestyle, closely related to constant concern for physical appearance and social status.

For this exhibition proposal, I have selected a series of works produced over the last five years that engage directly with common objects such as cosmetic containers, pharmaceutical products, and perfume bottles. These widespread yet often overlooked items function in my practice as cultural artefacts that reveal shared desires, anxieties, and systems of value. The objective is to reframe the ordinary and the commonplace in a poetic and reflective manner by manipulating their original forms through processes of replication, distortion, fragmentation, and material translation. By emphasizing the production of replicas, I aim to establish a productive distance from the original objects, thereby facilitating contemplation of the everyday objects and our relationship with them.

Materiality plays a central role in this body of work. The use of porcelain, in particular, introduces a temporal and symbolic dimension that contrasts with the disability of the source objects. By translating ephemeral packaging into durable materials, the works highlight tensions between permanence and obsolescence, desire and consumption, surface and substance. In this way, the pieces function as quiet documents of contemporary life while also proposing alternative ways of seeing and valuing what surrounds us.

The proposal brings together works produced in Spain and China, reflecting my creative development between my habitual place of residence and the profound influence of the residencies I have undertaken over the past three years in Shangyu, Longquan, and Foshan. These experiences have significantly transformed my approach to artistic traditions and cross-cultural visual accents. The resulting body of work situates itself at the intersection of sculpture and installation, inviting viewers to move physically and conceptually through a space where the familiar is subtly destabilised and reimagined.
